We’re all about embracing different cultures in our home, and that includes our food! We’ve been big fans of classic Italian Carbonara, but sometimes, I like to give it a little twist for a more family-friendly and healthier version. And this week, I decided to add a touch of Jamaican flavor.

Healthy and Delicious
This recipe is a fun twist on the classic dish. It’s lightened up with low-fat milk and Parmesan cheese. And the addition of Jamaican spices like allspice, ginger, and paprika adds a delicious layer of flavor.
Make it Kid-Friendly
My kids love this version of Carbonara. It’s colorful, it’s flavorful, and it’s a fun way to introduce them to different cuisines. You can always adjust the spices according to your family’s preferences.
Tips for a Perfect Dish:
- For an extra touch of flavor, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
- Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a green salad.
- Make sure you use high-quality Parmesan cheese for the best flavor.
Enjoy!
